United flies direct from Edinburgh, Dublin, London Heathrow and Shannon to seven U.S. cities including Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington D.C. with connections to over 250 destinations across the Americas. So, whether it’s adventures in Costa Rica, a night on the town in Vegas or sun worshipping in Cancun – United can get you there.

During the summer months, United offers up to 23 daily flights from Heathrow and 4 from Edinburgh, with Scottish services seeing flights to New York year-round and seasonal service to Chicago and Washington D.C.

United Polar is lounges are available exclusively to our international premium cabin travellers at select airports and offer signature seating, a relaxation area and showers.
Our ultra-premium luxury Polaris loungesâ„  are available in:

United Premium Plusâ„  seats, United’s premium economy seats, are closer to the front of the aircraft and more spacious with more legroom, elbow room and recline.
A spot closer to the front of the aircraft means you’ll enjoy earlier service and get off the plane — and on your way — faster.

The all-in-one travel partner just keeps getting better and it’s a must for anyone travelling on United. Customers can check in for their flight, receive their boarding pass and pay for bags ahead of time. The app features airport maps with easy to navigate terminal guides, so if you’re after a specific lounge, or looking for the closest route to your gate, the app will get you there.

Passengers can change their seats, or their flights if something better becomes available. If passengers have an issue, Agent on Demand is available on the app, allowing passengers to talk, text or video chat with an agent with any concerns about their trip.

Once onboard, the app also allows passengers to watch movies, play games or pay for inflight snacks and drinks while in the air.

Most recently, United became the first U.S. airline to allow Live Activities for iPhone users, which provides real-time flight status updates and more right from the lock screen, so you never even need to open the app.
