One of the most walkable cities in the US, Boston is a city of diverse neighbourhoods just waiting to be explored. Made up of 23 neighbourhoods within which you will find eclectic culture, beautiful public art, immersive activations, and authentic experiences. From the North End to the South End, Roxbury to Roslindale, Boston neighbourhoods are welcoming havens where visitors can shop, dine, and explore to their heart’s content. Boston is a multi-cultural, diverse, equitable and inclusive city.
Boston is an all-season destination, in winter the city turns into a wonderland of winter markets, ice skating, festive decorations adorn hotel lobbies and the city’s vibrant theatre district, comedy shows, and star-studded sports teams are to be enjoyed. Holiday season shoppers can also take advantage of the sales and tax-free shopping on individual items of clothing up to the value of $175 in the many shopping areas dotted around the city.

Newbury Street is the home of chic shopping and dining options, housed in beautiful and historic 19th century brownstones, visit Assembly Row or head to the Prudential Center for mall shopping with a selection of over 60 shops and one of the newest attractions in Boston, View Boston a 360-degree observation deck high above the city.

Spring and Summer sees the city and its greenspaces come alive with flowers in full bloom, the perfect weather to enjoy Boston Common and Public Gardens, with the pathways criss-crossing the famous duck pond, and Embrace statue; a tribute to Martin Luther King JR and Coretta Scott King – a must do photo opportunity. Enjoy outdoor concerts and entertainment including the Boston Pops Fourth of July outdoor event complete with firework display, with Boston’s waterfront backdrop adding to the wow factor.
Boston’s culinary scene has evolved, the seafood is fantastic, and traditional favourites are readily available, but don’t miss the array of diverse and ethnic offerings, including Italian delights across the city hotspots include La Padrona at Raffles and Coppa in South End or the famous North End with its array of deli’s and bakeries, tasty Latin American fare in East Boston, Little Saigon in Dorchester, and savoury soul food in Seaport.

Hit the food Halls for ‘a little bit of everything, all at once’, including Boston Public Market, High Street Place, Timeout Market and Eataly. Each neighbourhood serves up its own unique culinary experience, making the city a true melting pot of tastes.

Also home to a much-talked about selection of rooftop bars and entertainment venues, head to View Boston for stunning views of the city whilst supping on a cocktail at Stratus, perched atop the Envoy Hotel in the Seaport District is Lookout which boasts views across the Boston skyline that can be admired during every season, or for something different Tall Ship Boston at Pier One East Boston (open seasonally) a floating oyster bar where guests can enjoy drinks and oysters (of course) and on the adjacent dock find giant jenga and games, food trucks, music and cocktails to be savoured in the Boston summer sunshine. Boston’s nightlife vibe has become a cosmopolitan draw for visitors.
MGM Music Hall and Roadrunner have brought new and exciting acts to the city, with Live Nation and Bowery Presents also expanding their Boston inventory. Whether it’s chic and sophisticated, or just a darn good pub, Boston can offer the best spot.
Boston’s prime waterfront location offers a plethora of outdoor activities for all seasons. Embark on whale-watching expeditions to witness majestic marine life or take a leisurely harbour cruise to admire the stunning skyline with Boston Harbor City Cruises, hike and kayak through the picturesque Boston Harbor Islands National Park or take the ‘T’ to Revere Beach for ice cream on the white sands beach. During summer months, set sail on a sailing excursion or ferry to surrounding areas.

Other adventures to be enjoyed including many walking tours and historic heritage trails such as The Black Heritage Trail ®, The Freedom Trail and the Boston Women’s Heritage Trail which are just some of those on offer.
Jump aboard Boston Duck Tours for a land and water adventure, hire a bike or book an Urban AdvenTour guided cycle tour, pop across the river and take a student led guided tour of Harvard University or MIT, visit the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum and take part in ‘Destruction of the Tea’ re-enactment.
