Expedition cruise lines launch new website following merger

Polar Latitudes and Albatros Expeditions have launched a new Polar Latitudes Expeditions website as part of a consolidation of the two businesses.

The site introduces a new identity and an expanded range of itineraries across both the Arctic and Antarctica.

In the Arctic, Ocean Victory will join sister ship Ocean Albatros to offer more expeditions to the North and beyond the Arctic Circle.

During the 2025–2026 Antarctic season, Albatros Expeditions and Polar Latitudes will continue to operate independently. Itineraries and inclusions remain unchanged, though guests might notice co-branding onboard and ‘select service enhancements’, said the company.

Beginning with the Arctic season 2026, all voyages will operate under the Polar Latitudes Expeditions brand. At the same time, ‘Citizen Science’ activities, allowing guests to take part in research projects, will be introduced along with ‘premium dining’, complimentary ground services, and free wifi for all guests.

For the Antarctica 2026/27 season, Polar Latitudes Expeditions will offer a free pre-cruise one-night stay at a premium resort in Ushuaia. This will also be free of charge for existing booked guests.

The company will host two webinar sessions for the trade on 29 October to explain more about the new brand. Registration for the morning session is available here, and you can register for the afternoon session here.
