Travel Gossip has revealed it will extend The Travel Agent Awards to the North West of the UK in September 2026.
The regional awards, a first in the UK travel industry, aim to recognise the achievements of agents across the country.
Travel Gossip Managing Director Anwar Sohawon said: “We’re very excited to be launching The Travel Agent Awards in the North West next year. It’s clear from agents and suppliers alike, there’s demand to bring the Travel Agent Awards to their region, and we can’t wait to do so.”
The first of The Travel Agent Awards, for agents in the North East, will be presented at the legendary Geordie Ball in Newcastle on 5 March 2026, followed by the South West & Wales awards, to be presented at the South West & Wales Ball in June 2026. The date for the North West Ball is to be confirmed.
Newmarket Holidays has signed up as a headline sponsor to all three events. “A big thank you to Newmarket Holidays and Hayley Morris (Head of Trade and Partnerships) and David Sharman (Chief Commercial Officer) for their support for this initiative,” said Anwar.
“In addition to the North West, they’re already headlining the North East and South West & Wales Travel Agent Awards, demonstrating their commitment to recognising excellence amongst travel agents.”
