Hays Travel officially opens store close to Luton Airport

Hays Travel has opened its latest Bedfordshire store in the town of Dunstable, which is just nine miles from Luton Airport.

Located in the Quadrant Shopping Centre, the store began trading last month but held its official opening on Thursday (21 August) with Dunstable’s Mayor, Sally Kimondo, cutting the ribbon.

The team of five staff will be led by Manager James Little, who worked in the Witney branch and joined Hays Travel two years ago through its New to Travel scheme.

The opening follows Jet2’s launch of its 13th base at Luton this year, with the team joined by Jet2 Holidays Trade Sales Executive Ryan Clayton for the celebrations.

James said: “The response has been amazing. The overall support we have had from everyone has been excellent. It’s great to finally be open. The first month of trading has been very good for us.

“We have had a lot of customers come in. Some were unfamiliar with the Hays Travel brand but showing them what we can do and the versatility of holidays we can sell, has really helped them get an understanding of what we can offer.

“Jet2 has been very popular with customers so far – they appreciate having access to great deals through us and a wider range of holidays from Luton Airport.”
