TUI Tours has hosted its first-ever fam trip for independent agents, taking a group of eight to Oman.
The fam trip followed elements of the TUI Tours Classical Oman itinerary with agents visiting beaches, mountains and deserts.
Agents visited luxury properties, including Kempinski Muscat, Shangri-La Al Husn, Chedi Muscat and the mountain retreat of Anantara Jabal Akhdar Resort.
A cultural highlight was a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Other experiences include dune bashing in the Wahiba Desert and starlit dining at a desert night camp.
TUI Tours Product Manager Dexter Argent-Burns said: “It was such an amazing opportunity to showcase beautiful Oman and make history with TUI Tours first ever independent agent fam trip.
“As we continue to grow our TUI Tours product, it’s more important than ever before that agents have the opportunity to get under the skin of the product and have the firsthand knowledge to speak about it with their customers.”
Designer Travel Agent Caroline Bailey said: “The experience taught me what a wonderful country Oman is, I was astonished by the cleanliness of the country and the friendliness of its people.
“On top of this, the knowledge I have gained about products TUI offer that I never even knew is invaluable.
“I now feel very confident in selling the destination and, having experienced TUI Tours, I look forward to selling this product (and others) going forward.”
