Agents treated to mystery two-centre fam with Visit Dubai

A group of agents was treated to a two-centre mystery fam trip, with their second destination only revealed when they arrived in Dubai for the first leg of the trip.

Visit Dubai had arranged the fam to showcase Dubai as a luxury stopover destination. Some 20 top-selling agents from companies, including Elegant Resorts, Blue Bay Travel, Kuoni, Gold Medal, Travel Counsellors and Savile Row Travel travelled to Dubai with Emirates for the three-day itinerary in November.

They were split into four groups for stays at either the Atlantis the Royal, One&Only One Za’abeel, Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel, thanks to partnerships with Kerzner and Jumeirah.

It was on arrival at desert resort Bab Al Shams on the first night the group found out where their second destination for four nights would be – either the One&Only Cape Town, One&Only Le Saint Geran in Mauritius, Jumeirah Bali or Jumeirah Olihahli Island Maldives.

In Dubai the agents took part in a host of events including jet skiing around Burj Al Arab and morning yoga at the Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis the Palm before heading off in groups to South Africa, Bali, Mauritius or the Maldives.

Savile Row Travel Senior Sales and Marketing Executive Jess Woods said: “I couldn’t believe it when I opened my envelope on the first night to reveal I would be going to Jumeirah Olhahali Island in the Maldives! Having never been to the islands but selling them a lot and getting to visit in total luxury with Jumeirah was a dream come true. Plus it is so useful for me selling more Dubai and Maldives multicentre trips.”

First Class Holidays Reservations Specialist Lily Routledge added: “The fam trip did justice showcasing Dubai as the number one stopover destination. It’s hard to choose just one highlight as we packed so many great experiences into three days, but one of my favourites was taking part in a beautiful and intimate Champagne sunset desert excursion.”
